The great success of our Festa do Pemento de A Arnoia
On 5, 6 and 7 August we experienced the XLIII edition of the Festa do Pemento de A Arnoia. We couldn’t wait any longer to enjoy our festival again, and this time in total freedom.
We were lucky to count on the great Carlos Blanco, who was in charge of giving the opening speech.
You could tell there was a real eagerness to experience an incredible gathering surrounded by different creations made with our pepper: we savoured pepper-stuffed omelette, croquettes, stuffed peppers, fried peppers with bread and even A Arnoia pepper ice cream.
The frying pans didn’t stop frying our product, exceeding all forecasts after these years of standstill: more than 3 thousand kg of peppers.
Around 10,000 people attended over these days to enjoy this great gastronomic event.
Music was another of the stars
We didn’t only enjoy the food; music was another of the stars:
We got to dance with Combo Dominicano, Orquestra Cinema, Bafana Bafana and Broken Peach.
We also enjoyed traditional Galician music with the Festival de Pandereteiras, Leilia, Ergutío and Airiños de Arnoia.
We had street parades that got us going from the very start of the day; the ones in charge of all the fun were: A Charanga Europa, Charanga CLK and Sorcha.
Various activities
Saturday was the moment for motor lovers, with the third classic vehicle gathering.
On Sunday we had a sporting event, the 8000 varas fun run, this being its sixth edition; it was a complete success and many prizes were handed out.
For the whole family, and especially the little ones, everyone could enjoy the foam party at the Inquiau. They had a great time!
